You'd never guess looking at her now, but just four months ago, Brooke Burke-Charvet was undergoing treatment for thyroid cancer. The diagnosis was a shock for the 41-year-old Dancing With the Stars cohost. Newly married to David Charvet, the mom of four was busy juggling her career and blended family when, last Spring, her doctor found a lump.

Sunday marked the three-week anniversary of the tornadoes in south and central Mississippi. The American Red Cross encourages those affected to pay attention to their emotional health as well as their physical health.

 When disasters like tornadoes and flooding occur and people are forced out of their homes, they have obvious needs like food and shelter. But equally important is the fact that some people have emotional needs or medical conditions that need attention. Since the tornadoes struck and the flooding subsided Red Cross workers have provided health and emotional support contacts to people impacted by the storms.

Preity doles out health tips to fans

Sleep well, early breakfast, exercise and much more came from actress Preity Zinta, who decided to utilise her Sunday by sharing some fitness tips with Twitteratis who are following her.


The 38-year-old discussed various health issues and also gave away tips on eating habits and working out.
"It's Sunday and of course, a fun day, so it's time for Sunday chat. Are you guys all ready? Should I suggest a topic today. Sometimes we have serious, hectic chats and sometimes it's all fun and frolic! Today, I think, we'll chat about health, beauty and fitness," Preity posted on twitter.
"Do you know that eating within 10 mins after waking up is guaranteed to make you lose weight? If you skip breakfast, then god help you, so don't do it... If you don't sleep well, you tend to overeat the next day and in turn increase your chances of putting on weight," Preity posted.
